Use daringly on the side of your plate.  If you can't really cook but want to invite someone to dinner, have lots of it handy. Cook with it and then use it as a condiment with the meal....then listen for the compliments.

 
 


Macaroni Pie

1 pk. Macaroni (12 ozs.)
1 onion grated
1 Jar Tamangy Chutney
2 cups milk
3 ozs. Grated cheddar cheese
1/2 cup flour
4 tbsp. Butter
1 cup Smoked Sausage - diced (optional)
1/8 tsp. Seasoned salt
1 oz. Grated cheddar cheese and 1/8 tsp. Paprika for garnish


Method
Prepare macaroni according to package directions and set aside. Melt the butter in a pan and add the butter to make a roux. Slowly add the milk stirring all the time. Add the cheese, Tamangy and seasoned salt and cook for about 2 minutes - until cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth and thick. Use a balloon whisk to kept make the sauce smooth. In a large bowl mix the macaroni, onion, sauce and sausage together. Grease an ovenproof dish and pour in the macaroni mixture. Sprinkle on some grated cheese and paprika then bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.
